First Presbyterian Church offers educational opportunities for all ages.

They include a graded Sunday School beginning at 9:30 a.m. (During the summer this school becomes broadly graded.)   Also, there is "Children's Church" during the latter part of the worship service available to children through 8 years of age.

Vacation Bible School - August 5 - August 9, 2007 - in the evenings.  Our theme this year is Avalanche Ranch!

Wednesday Nite Live in addition to our weekly supper by our award winning Chef Donna Irwin and several intergenerational activities regularly includes classes for children of all ages, our regular Youth groups (Middle and Senior High) as well as several classes for adults including art and Bible study classes.

Other special educational opportunities include confirmation classes and retreat, Welcoming to the Lord's Table for young children and their parents, Officer training, new member classes, and an annual Church Retreat at the Bluestone Conference Center. 

Education has historically been an important emphasis to Presbyterians and First, Bluefield is no exception.
